Sorry for the delay….

Life got in the way this week but in the best way!

**if this is your first one visiting our blog, please check out the “About” section to fully understand our posts!

Adam and I have been praying hard for an opportunity to come our way.

You guys know I’m about to give y’all a little back story…

I worked for an awesome transportation company back home while Adam was deployed to Afghanistan in 2015. When he came home we were stationed at Fort Campbell and I ultimately had to leave my position to move with my husband. Life of an army wife all the way. You start over every time. It took me a year after our move to find my place again in the transportation industry. I truly believe it was Gods plan to wait to put me there. It had to be. A couple of weeks ago I applied for a dispatch position and the day I realized it wasn’t going to work out, I decided to take a pity nap. You know, kind of like… turn it off and back on again to see if it works? Well it did. I was awoken by a phone call asking me to come in for an interview with a company I’d applied for 3 times over the past 6 months. Long story short… I finished my first week of work this past Friday. I feel like I can finally breath. I wanted to share this story with you because I was weakened and defeated at the point of that phone call. I prayed and prayed for God to show me where He wanted me. Instead of focusing on what I wanted & thought I needed, He needed me to trust His plan & His timing. At my lowest point, I realized that I was praying for specifics… instead I should have been praying for His will to be clear. I trust that the wait we were put through was worth it.

This theory circles around nicely to our path with IVF. It takes time, patience, and trust.

We have so much love in our little family that it’s overflowing. We can’t wait to share that love with another little Goad but we are patient. In the meantime, I’d like to share it with all of you!

We are humbly announcing that we have 9, NINE, more pieces left in the FRAME of our sweet puzzle.

While I’ve been working my new job, God has been working on our puzzle and the hearts of those connected to it.

My Papa and Jaye are the first family members to be on our puzzle which is monumental to me. It means the world to my little family to have the support of our family. For them to be a part of this unconventional process to bring into the world their next great grandson/granddaughter warms my heart. With 14 pieces added to the frame… it becomes more and more possible. Thank you for the love and support you’ve shown.

Adams first BEST friend Zach (Z Dubs) came through and showed his continued support for our family. I remember when we had Karily, Z Dubs came with a fully stocked back pack ready for the wait that is childbirth. Not only was he there for every minute but he also snuck me in some AMAZING cheese fries from Steak ‘n Shake shortly after Karily was born. Just so you know…. this time I’ll probably want Wendy’s 😂!

And then there’s family who randomly reminds us that we are all still connected no matter the time and distance. Thank you Leah, for thinking of us and investing the time and thought to extend your support.

You know how when you have a best friend, their family becomes your family? Well in military life you all become family pretty quick. Heather, your grandmother took time & sent a check of support to your best friend and it makes me so thankful to have you and your family in my life.

Thank you all for being patient with us as we adjusted to our new schedule this past week. Thank you for showing love to our little family. We are so happy that when we are blessed with another little Goad he or she will be born into unsurpassed love.

We are officially over 1/2 way through the frame!!!

Chelcie Griffith, you have always come through with your beautiful heart! I still remember when you got Karily that hairbow with the camo on it! Thank you so much for being a part of this with us!

Martha Joyce, you have always supported our family, sending Adam packages in Afghanistan and now joining us in building our puzzle! Thank you so very much!

Also, Adams commander at his unit Captain Kathryn Munera has even extended her support. The one time I’ve met you, you’ve put me at ease knowing you’re leading my husband. Thank you so very much for supporting us in our personal endeavors as well!

We are truly humbled. We’ve “sold” 51 pieces of the puzzle that is building our dream, building our family one piece at a time. Thank you for wanting to be a part of this journey with us!

We have so much love to give and cannot wait to share it with another little Goad! Obviously, we also have an amazing support system to bring him/her into! (Probably a her 😂)

It was definitely a Monday.

If this is your first time to our blog, please read the “About” section to fully understand our updates!

Today started out rough… Karily and I overslept which made this morning super rushed. When I finally had her off to school (luckily dressed appropriately for this random cold weather) I was able to sit down & see that God was still working on our puzzle. It was almost an instant relief. Sometimes, I get all kinds of caught up in the hustle and bustle of life, especially on a Monday morning.

The first thing I saw when I looked at my phone was the notification that my babysitter from way back when was rooting for us! Of course this sent me down memory lane and I immediately remembered what a handful myself and my brothers were while we were in her care. We did not make it easy and on top of her three children… I dont know how she did it! Lorrie, you must have had the patience of Jobe back then and you most definitely still have that kind heart I always remembered about you! Thank you so very much! I know you’re enjoying those sweet grandchildren!

Also today we were blessed by a new leader in Adams career, Wesley Johnston. It’s so cool because he didn’t hear about this fundraiser from Adam nor I. The sharing is what brought him to us! Thank you Wesley!

You guys made our Monday feel like a Saturday!!

What a blessed weekend.

If this is your first visit to our blog please read our “about” section to fully understand our updates!

We have had such a blessed weekend! While we were at Karilys soccer game God was busy working on our puzzle. He lead Cory and Gaby Oney to purchase 3 pieces of the frame of our puzzle. We want to say a BIG thank you for thinking of us and taking time out of your weekend to support our dream!

Relatives that we have nowhere near enough contact with came out in support and also purchased pieces! Our hearts are so grateful Dama!

And lastly, Dotty! Through her son at church today she made her way into our puzzle and insisted on the corner pieces on specifically the right side! So, of course, we obliged! Thank you so much for loving us even after only knowing us such a short period of time! You are such a rare gem & I just know you’ll continue to bring light to our lives!

So far we have 37 pieces of the frame bought with love. We still have 47 to go! Thank you for all of the shares and continued support!

We are currently working on a grant to help fill the inside of the puzzle but of course any and all “purchases” are so beyond appreciated!!

We are blown away. There’s just no other way to put it. You guys, we’ve prayed, we’ve fought, and we’ve exhausted ourselves planning. To think that people we have encountered in our lives think enough of us to jump in on this crazy blog and follow us and pray for us and reach into their own hearts for us is just humbling. I cannot say enough how our hearts soar when you share our story. This is going to happen. I can feel it. And it’s going to be because God has placed each of you in our lives.

Brothers in arms

*if this is your first visit to operationlittlegoad… check out the “About” section to catch up!*

Anyone who wears the camo uniform and scuffed up combat boots knows that it’s not the most glamorous lifestyle, but being a part of the military sure has its perks. I personally have been blessed with outstanding leadership and comradery. Thank you Brian Lancaster, Nate Bobroff, Michael Paiz, Justin Brittain, Taylor Roynon, and Michael Volkert for your generous donations. I couldn’t ask for better support or friendship. The fact that you all went out of your way to help my family grow brings much joy to my heart. God Bless you all and thank you.

The Foundation

*if this is your first visit to operationlittlegoad… check out the “About” section to catch up!*
As a parent I wholeheartedly believe in building the foundation first. If you’re friends of ours… chances are, you’ve heard us preach it. Whether it pertains to your relationship, parenting, or friendships… everything needs a good foundation. This puzzle that we’re building is an amazing testament to the support we have in growing our family. Well, what does a foundation do? It supports what you build on top of it. So I started with the outside of the puzzle… because I believe that a successful family is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks life throws at them. Life has thrown us you and we will honor that!

I want to personally thank each and every person who has taken time out of their busy lives to become part of our foundation! I know, I said we’d do it Saturday…. but y’all, the puzzle came in today & I just couldn’t wait to thank you all!!!

Lyndsay Brittain & family – you were the first to jump into our crazy idea and show your support! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We miss your family so much & the coloring book is being mailed tomorrow! Lol

Shelby Aguilar – my long lost little sister who has grown up to be a beautiful young mom & wife, thank you for being a part of our foundation!

Jessica Gentry – oh how I miss you! I hope you know how much it makes me smile when I think of turning this complete puzzle around and seeing your name! Thank you sweet friend! Maybe when we succeed and have another baby/babies you’ll HAVE to come visit!!

Wayne Perry – You and Shar will forever hold a special place in my heart. You guys have never waivered in your faith in me and support in my family… Thank you!!!!

Chelsea Richmond – It’s so cool having such a good reason to reconnect! Thank you so very much!

Chelsie Rae – I cannot tell you how excited I am that we have such cool new neighbors!!!  I can already tell it’s the beginning of a beautiful friendship!!  Thank you so much for your support!!

Brian Lancaster – it’s so cool to know that Adam has your support not only in his career but also in his personal life! Thank you so very much for supporting our family!

Keri, Jeremy, Brayden and Olivia… you guys have been such an awesome constant in our life here at Fort Campbell.  From play dates to an amazing friendship we are going to miss you more than we expected! Thank you for being such awesome friends and supporting us in this journey!!! I cannot wait to meet Isaac!

And guys, that’s just the first three days!

Look how much we’ve built together so far! I cannot say it enough…. THANK YOU.
